App that boosts tourism in Cundinamarca

If you want to visit the Sumapaz province in Cundinamarca, you can now plan your tourist visit through the web application Mi Ruta Sumapaz, a technological tool developed by the University of Cundinamarca.

According to the UCundinamarca News portal, this application “will contribute to the development of the tourism sector in towns such as: Arbélaez, Cabrera, Fusagasugá, Granada, Pandi, Pasca, San Bernardo and Silvania.”.

Through the app, you can explore points of interest in each of the province's municipalities. It also allows you to connect with tour operators and guides in the region.

“"It helps promote tourism by linking different tourist sites in the area and ensuring that visitors have a positive experience on the tours they wish to take. Users can choose whether they want to explore religious, archaeological, or historical tourism, and the app will generate a tour based on their preferences.".

”We believe this development can open up new business opportunities because, for example, tour guides and travel agencies can be rewarded for planning each tour. Essentially, this opens a door for this sector to become more organized, efficient, and effective,” explains Pedro Luis Cifuentes, one of the app's developers.
