Given that March 22nd is World Water Day, the University of Cundinamarca, through its Efficient Water Conservation Program (PUEA), carried out a series of educational and awareness-raising activities to raise awareness in the university community about the importance of caring for, saving, and using water efficiently in the different regional units:
Ubaté Sectional
In collaboration with the University Welfare Office, an awareness day was held for students and knowledge managers to highlight the importance of water and provide recommendations for its conservation. This was achieved through puzzles and image interpretations that included recommendations on how to contribute to saving and using water efficiently.
Facatativá Extension
A workshop was held for knowledge managers, students, and administrative staff, focusing on the water cycle, water resource exploitation, and excessive water consumption. The activity was conducted in teams, where participants were asked to list five actions for the proper use and conservation of water, three measures that would improve water efficiency at the university, and other questions. This approach ensured knowledge retention and incentivized participation with prizes donated as compensation for the donation of usable materials and souvenirs distributed through the CAC Cultural Learning Field program, which involved the use of "bottles of love.".

Workshops were held to encourage the community to practice austerity and the responsible use of water. These workshops, and especially the knowledge gained through these experiences, represented a crucial opportunity to guarantee a future in which everyone has access to this vital resource.
Some important facts about water
It is worth highlighting that this date allows us to reflect on the importance of water in human life, and in the functioning of ecosystems and the economy. It serves as a reminder of the scarcity of freshwater in various parts of the world, a reflection on the challenges many communities face in accessing safe drinking water, thus stimulating global solidarity and the search for innovative and collaborative solutions within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 6.Cleanliness and Basic Sanitation Guide.
Similarly, it provides a platform for raising awareness about the importance of conserving this resource and protecting aquatic ecosystems, SDG 14. -Vunderwater journey-.
