On September 4, the second Bagüe Agroecotourism working group meeting was held, in which representatives of the Secretary of Development and Agriculture of Fusagasugá, producers and entrepreneurs from the Sumapaz region participated, who are working on agroecotourism as an alternative that combines agriculture with tourism as an economic alternative and sustainable development.
Through the workshops held, experiences were exchanged between those working in agritourism and those from academia who have proposals for integrating it with technology. “Linking tourism, education, and technology with the agricultural sector allows us to develop attractive projects for tourists at a low cost,” say students Verónica Carillo and Viviana Rojas, who are specializing in Business and E-commerce.
With the implementation of Agroecotourism, it is possible to obtain up to 20% in the increase of profits of the tourism, rural and agricultural sector, and at the same time, provide travelers with relevant and useful environmental, ecological and agricultural alternatives not only for knowledge but also to adopt healthy habits.
