Accounting Symposium

It began Expo UCundinamarca, the space of university entrepreneurship which undoubtedly brings together the entire university community. Between October 24 and 25, the accounting seminar was held in the Emilio Sierra Baquero auditorium at the Fusagasugá campus, attended by 400 people including research groups, student research groups, officials, businesspeople, and the community at large.


The academic event was led by the Public Accounting program and featured two main conferences, one by Jorge Andrés Tovar Forero, Secretary of Information and Communication Technologies of the Government of Cundinamarca and the other by Gloria Cotrino Trujillo from the Surcolombiana University.

The presentations given at the symposium are part of the seedbeds, projects and macro-projects of the Faculty of Administrative, Economic and Accounting Sciences that impact the province of Sumapaz, especially in the municipalities of Sibaté, Pasca, Pandi, Cabrera, San Bernardo, Fusagasugá, Arbeláez and other places in the region.

The projects presented at the event are part of the thematic lines in ethics and environmental social responsibility, pedagogy and accounting curriculum, economic environment and regional growth, international standards of financial information, accounting management and software, E-commerce and social projection of knowledge.

The translocal symposium presented papers related to innovation, such as support in the creation of a technological platform as a contribution to financial education in the municipality of Pasca, authored by Marly Julieth Mendoza Sanabria; environmental analysis of vehicle washing technologies used in car washes in Fusagasugá, presented by María Fernanda Aguilar; transfer of technological and administrative knowledge to micro-entrepreneurs in the Sumapaz region, presented by Elizabeth Ann Escobar Cazal, among others.
