Human rights: part of professional training?

Under the motto “UCUNDINAMARCA S21, Open and Clear”The accountability report for the year 2016 was held in the Emilio Sierra Baquero Auditorium of the University. This event served to socialize to the Educational Community the progress in the New Rectoral Plan “Generation 21st Century” and the financial balance of the immediately preceding year.
During the opening remarks of the event, the Rector of the University of Cundinamarca, Dr. Adriano Muñoz Barrera, pointed out that during 2016 a strategic institutional design process was completed with the participation of different members of the Educational Community; this process redefined the Mission and Vision of the University, leading it to become a translocal institution, thus determining a new historical role for the University within the Department and the Country.
For his part, the Director of Institutional Planning, Dr. José del Carmen Correa Alfonso, shared with the administrative staff, students and the community in general the execution of projects with the resources given by the National Transfer- CREE for the sum of $ 6,520,193,740, this budget amount has been invested in projects such as Management and strengthening of research groups, training for teachers and students in research topics and the construction of the library and research center of the University of Cundinamarca at the Fusagasugá campus, the latter being a large-scale project for UCundinamarca.
The event was attended by 320 people, including administrative staff, teachers, community members, and media representatives. The report was streamed to all extensions, branches, and interested parties.
