Academic exchange experience

Liseth Nájera Vera, a Mexican nursing student from the Autonomous University of Tlaxcala, arrived on exchange for six months for this second semester of 2022 to the Girardot branch in the Nursing program.

“This academic exchange has been a great experience. I must say that the language barrier and the academic pace here have been a bit challenging, but it is undoubtedly wonderful to acquire new knowledge and different educational models,” the Mexican student mentioned.

“At UCundinamarca, we cover a lot of theory before moving on to practical application, and this allows the acquired knowledge to be greatly reinforced. In this experience, I had the opportunity to learn to work as a team and to build collaboratively; a skill I want to take back to my university,” Liseth affirmed.

As part of this process, the University of Cundinamarca, through its Dialoguing with the World and University Welfare offices, takes care of everything related to the academic process, as well as the student's housing and food, all with the aim of continuing to promote these processes of joint knowledge between nations.

“I must also say that meeting your future colleagues in another country is very rewarding, as is sharing with professors who have a wealth of knowledge. I take this opportunity to thank both universities for making this possible,” the young woman emphasized.

Finally, “we hope to continue working next year on this great institutional policy and international cooperation, full of knowledge and great experiences,” concluded Andrea Carolina Gómez, professor of the Nursing program and Internationalization Manager.
