The academic community participates in building the UCundinamarca budget

This is the first time that students, teachers, deans and directors have come together for the participatory construction of the UCundinamarca 2018-2019 budget.

With the aim of sharing the projections of the Annual Procurement Plan and the Annual Investment Operating Plan, the Institutional Planning Directorate led a discussion in which students, deans, teachers and directors of Branches and Extensions participated with ideas and proposals for the construction of the budget of the University of Cundinamarca.

During this period, several working groups were held to address academic needs. The Vice-Rectorates for Academic Affairs and for Administration and Finance, aiming to maximize resources, prioritized topics such as self-evaluation and accreditation, as well as the presentation of new programs. Additionally, feasibility studies for the various new undergraduate and graduate programs were included in this session.

It is worth highlighting the attendance and participation of the students in this forum who listened to and made observations on the proposals put forward by the Institution.

“For us as students, participating in this Forum is enriching because we learn and discuss how the Institution's money should be invested, what we are contributing, and what our shortcomings are.”, Nicolás Roldón, a student in the Systems Engineering program, highlighted this.

These forums allow the university community to voice its needs regarding budgetary matters. Furthermore, both faculty and students are given the opportunity to evaluate potential resource allocations for their projects.

“This forum has important significance for UCundinamarca, since we prioritize the needs of teachers and students in the budget,”, concluded José Del Carmen Correa, Director of Institutional Planning.
