The Ministry of National Education is implementing strategies to strengthen the Quality Assurance System in Higher Education Institutions and promote academic processes focused on student learning outcomes.
In this context, from today, Monday, March 15, until April 15, the Call for Applications will be open to national and international experts interested in participating as speakers in the Quality Assurance academic events scheduled for 2021.
The participation of experts will support knowledge transfer, technical assistance, research development, and support for academic peers in their work on the various quality assurance systems for Higher Education.
The application process for the Call for Proposals is through the Icetex Fondo CNA and Conaces platform. Final results will be published on May 3, 2021.
The events scheduled by the Ministry in 2021 in which the invited experts will be able to participate are the following:
• III International Forum on Quality Assurance in Higher Education (to be held between May and June).
• Educated 2021 (will take place between August and September)
• II International Forum on Learning Outcomes (to be held between August and September)
These three academic scenarios will have six thematic axes around which aspiring speakers must present their proposals:
Technical and Technological Education (TyT)
ü Training Modalities
ü Internal Quality Assurance Systems
External evaluation of the quality of Higher Education
Learning Assessment
ü Pedagogical or educational innovation.
The objective of these processes is to provide the academic community with a contextual understanding of the Quality of Higher Education in order to strengthen internationalization and the exchange of experiences and knowledge.
The international experts who will support the process of strengthening the quality of Higher Education will contribute their knowledge, studies, research and information on accreditation systems, qualification of self-evaluation processes and continuous improvement of Higher Education Programs and Institutions in Colombia.
Additionally, the Call for Proposals will recognize a minimum of five years of academic experience and the development of verifiable research products on topics related to the objective of the thematic nodes proposed by the Ministry of National Education.
With this initiative, the Government of President Iván Duque promotes the dialogue of knowledge among the actors of the Quality Assurance System and the exchange of global experiences to advance in the systematization of information and the implementation of policies aimed at the continuous improvement of Quality Assurance of Higher Education in Colombia.
