At the Chía extension, the Happy Feet activity will be experienced throughout this semester through the Cultural Learning Field (CAC) called Culture of the Soul, which the entire educational community can register for, including members of the community outside the institution who like to dance.
Let us remember that the CACs are part of the Transmodern Digital Educational Model (Medit) of UCundinamarca, which allow the construction of cultural, local and transmodern identity.
To participate in the activity, you don't need to be an expert dancer; the idea is to want to participate with the purpose of promoting dance culture and its emotions. “The idea is to generate a message to the community through dance. You can do it in groups or individually. We invite you to join our Cultural Learning Center,” said Alejandra Tautiva Reyes, leader of the Cultural Learning Center.
In this way, the experience seeks to have participants convey emotions to the public through dance challenges, using expressions in performing arts, folklore, and music. Therefore, the initiative will be developed in the following three phases: the first will consist of workshops that generate artistic skills in the participants; the second phase will involve a presentation in a central square of the municipality with the idea of conveying an artistic message to the audience; and the third phase will involve a cultural exchange where choreographies will be developed, mixing different dance genres.
“At the end, we will give each participant a test to tell us what emotions they managed to evoke in themselves and their audiences. It is worth mentioning that as part of the activity, we will have workshop leaders and choreographers who are experts in the field. Participants will also receive a certificate upon completion of the CAC,” said Tautiva.
It's worth noting that Happy Feet already held its first event in 2021, with the participation of groups from Chía, as well as representatives from Fusagasugá. The event was held both in person and virtually, with excellent participation results.
In this way, and with the use of artistic resources such as Flash Mob, the educational community of UCundinamarca will be immersed throughout this second semester, in person, in a multi-cultural universe.
