6th Corn Festival in Girardot

Between the 10th and 11th In May, students from the Environmental Engineering program at the Girardot branch held the sixth edition of the Corn Festival, whose purpose was to encourage the appropriation of the territory for the care and defense of natural resources through youth integration in cultural and academic spaces.

During these two days, a cultural, sporting and academic agenda was developed, in which the participants discussed current issues such as: national politics and the environment.

The students actively participated in the physical activities of the day, including sports such as soccer and basketball, as well as cultural events.

It is worth noting that the universities participating in the event were: the National University of Colombia, Piloto University, District University, University of Tolima, University of Ibagué, Minuto de Dios University, and, of course, UCundinamarca. Government entities such as the Girardot Municipal Government, the Health Department, and the Youth Leadership Office also participated.
