On May 9th at the Fusagasugá headquarters, the Dean of Education, Aura Lara, the Dean of Administrative and Accounting Sciences, Félix Rojas, the Dean of Social Sciences, Darwin Gómez and the Doctor of Law and Philosophy, Juan Camilo Salas Cardona, met to discuss the Transmodern Digital Model, during which they shared different points of view on its implementation in the classroom.
Experts in education and university teaching discussed various topics, primarily focusing on the importance of developing not just professionals, but also good human beings committed to society. “We need fewer instructors and more teachers who educate professionals in values,” Salas emphasized.
“MEDIT is a challenge because we have to change the mindset of both teachers and students. The classroom is not a closed space where one person learns and the other teaches; it is an open space where knowledge is produced, and where a relationship is established between the subjects—teacher and student—who, mediated by multiple conditions, including the digital context and knowledge beyond the discipline, co-create,” the Dean of Education pointed out.
