Human rights: part of professional training?

LABSAG It is a portal that integrates eight of the best simulators designed in Europe and the United States for undergraduate and graduate teaching in Administration and Management. The Business Administration program uses this platform. LABSAG as a tool for simulating scenarios and case studies, which includes different software programs specialized in different areas of knowledge, such as Financial Management (SIMDEF), Strategic Marketing (MARKESTRAT), Marketing and Logistics (MARKLOG), Operations Management (SIMPRO), Strategic Advertising (ADSTART) and Comprehensive General Management (TEMPOMATIC).
Each simulation tool focuses on developing specific skills in participants, through its characteristics and conditions; the interaction takes place in real time and confronts students with peers from all over the world.
“This year, the branch took third place in the competition and was the best university in the country, and unlike previous years, 3 of the 5 groups reached the goal set by the supplier. The result is due to the work. as a team and a The use of all the administrative tools that have been acquired throughout the training process, such as financial analysis and administration, organizational diagnosis, human resource management, marketing, managerial strategy, but especially everything learned in managerial simulation”, Johanna Andrea Gil Palacios, coordinator of the Business Administration program, highlighted this.
In the Labsag International Challenge, the University of Cundinamarca stood out as the best university in the country among the others. The National University of Engineering of Peru, the Technological University of Mexico, the University of the Isthmus of Guatemala, the University Center of the South of Mexico, the Free University of Colombia, among others, participated in the challenge.
This year, the Labsag International Challenge included 207 students from 27 universities across five Latin American countries. The Ubaté branch participated with 14 students, divided into five groups. Three of these groups placed third, two fourth, three seventh, three eleventh, and three nineteenth.
The challenge took place from May 20th to June 1st and consisted of various tasks that had to be completed by different groups within each of the nine participating companies. For the 2019 edition, participants had to plan for investments in increasing the production capacity of their existing plant or purchasing a new plant for manufacturing Tempomatic products.
The Administration program of the branch participated with the objective of confronting students with real-world situations in the decision-making process, guiding their performance in competitions with professionals of the same level and promoting free competition.
“Throughout the entire competition process, The participants felt a great deal of anticipation for the results that would be obtained with each decision, since the industry could undergo changes in terms of the pstrong of the company, aspects such as sales variation, Advertising and the number of vendors are aspects that could influence the marketing of the Tenpomatics, sales projections, inter alia", Gil Palacios pointed out.
For Palacios, the importance of participating in these activities allows students to face real-life situations that managers or company leadership must resolve.
Students from the University of Cundinamarca, Ubaté branch, are proud to have reached this goal and to demonstrate that the institution is capable of competing with colleagues from universities such as the Cooperative University of Colombia, the Free University, and even competing internationally with students from universities in countries such as Mexico, Guatemala, and Peru.
“Additionally, we hope that this will not be the only time the university faces these scenarios internationally”, Palacios pointed out.

Finally, it is worth noting that the branch has been participating in the international LABSAG challenge since 2018. In that first semester, the program took 1st place internationally with the TEMPOMATIC software, and for the challenge of the second semester, the University was among the top 10.
