The Colombian Ministry of National Education, through Resolution No. 014020 of August 15, 2018, renewed the Qualified Registration of the Specialization in Management for Organizational Development at UCundinamarca. This program, offered at the Fusagasugá campus, lasts two semesters and is delivered in person, comprising 26 credits. Its registration was renewed for a period of seven years.
The renewal of the Qualified Registration comes after UCundinamarca met the quality standards required by the Ministry of National Education (MEN), such as providing more information on faculty dedication to research, development, and innovation, as well as the presence of expert professors with extensive experience in the specific area. The National Council, through Resolution No. 06739, resolved not to renew the Qualified Registration of the Specialization in Management for Organizational Development, arguing the non-compliance with quality conditions established in Decree 1075 of 2015.
Faced with this denial, the University of Cundinamarca, assuming its mission to train well-rounded professionals and offer undergraduate and postgraduate programs with quality conditions, filed an appeal with the Ministry of National Education regarding the non-compliance with Resolution No. 6739 of April 20, 2018, which did not renew the Qualified Registration of the Specialization in Management for Organizational Development.
Following the appeal filed by UCundinamarca, the Business Administration and Law Evaluation Chamber of the National Intersectoral Commission for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (CONACES) recommended that the Ministry of National Education reinstate Resolution No. 6739 of April 20, 2018, which grants the renewal of the Qualified Registration of the Specialization Program in Management for Organizational Development.
The above reaffirms the mission and social commitment of the University of Cundinamarca and the progress in the guidelines of the quality conditions of the academic processes required by the MEN, to achieve the accreditation of the programs and the institutional accreditation as a goal within the strategic direction of the Institution.
