Alliance for the benefit of Soacha
On December 13, 2017, the Rector of UCundinamarca, Dr. Adriano Muñoz Barrera, the Director of the Soacha Extension, Dr. Fabio Julio Gil Sanabria, the Dean of Engineering, Eng. Wilson Joven Sarria, the Coordinator of the Software Development Technology, Eng. Jesús Pabón, and the Municipal Ombudsman of Soacha, Dr. Ricardo Antonio Rodríguez Cárdenas, met at the institution's facilities to sign a framework agreement between the two entities in order to join efforts to continue working for the benefit of the Soacha community. Through the signing of the ACADEMIC COOPERATION FRAMEWORK AGREEMENT No. C-20170912-109, entered into between the University of Cundinamarca and the Ombudsman's Office of Soacha, with the objective that "the parties commit to joining efforts to carry out cooperation activities, in order to generate academic products through continuing education projects, research, extension, social projection, as well as academic and pedagogical practices and internships, within the fulfillment of the institutional purpose, mission and vision of the parties," the aim is to develop different academic activities that allow and promote the growth of the municipality. This alliance will enable the viability of projects that benefit our students and the residents of Soacha, promoting an improved quality of life, inclusion, and reconciliation in this post-conflict phase, thus contributing to the rebuilding of the social fabric. This is thanks to the hard work and strong commitment of both entities and the outstanding efforts of the Faculty of Engineering through its Software Development program, which seeks to position our alma mater in these arenas, allowing us to continue building the university we want and that every resident of Soacha deserves.
