From the Transmodern Digital Educational Model (MEDIT), the University of Cundinamarca conceives internationalization as a formative experience that transcends borders and articulates knowledge with territories. Within this framework, the "Dialoguing with the World" program is consolidated as a strategy to enrich teaching-learning processes and strengthen cultural, academic, and scientific exchange.
For the first academic term of 2026, the University is welcoming 32 incoming mobility students, who will be linked to the regional units of Chía, Fusagasugá, and Girardot, strengthening intercultural dialogue in the classroom and the collective construction of knowledge.
As Aura Carolina Acosta Amaya, director of the Dialogando con el Mundo program, explained, the visiting students will participate in programs such as Industrial Engineering, Systems and Computing Engineering, Public Accounting, Business Administration, Bachelor's in Social Sciences, Zootechny, Bachelor's in Physical Education, Agronomic Engineering, and Nursing, bringing new perspectives and experiences to the academic community.
Similarly, outbound mobility continues to experience significant growth. For this period, 53 students are part of the Student Ambassador program, 12 students are participating in Casa Cundinamarca, and 20 students are joining international volunteering processes, with destinations such as Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Ecuador, Cuba, and Bolivia.
The director highlighted that the visiting students come from renowned Latin American institutions, including the National Technological Institute of Mexico (across several campuses), the Particular Technical University of Loja, the National University of Piura, the National University of Rosario, the Autonomous University of Chapingo, the State University of Sonora, and the Autonomous University of Beni, thereby strengthening regional academic networks.
From the student experience, Daria Lidia Arrizon Santos, from the State University of Sonora (Mexico), stated that she arrives with high expectations, interested in learning about the differences between educational models, and highlighted MEDIT as a flexible, adaptable, and practical model for learning.
For her part, Milena Montovio, a student at the National University of the South in Argentina, noted that her goal is to delve deeper into the use of technologies, learn about Colombian culture and its production systems, in addition to establishing academic ties that strengthen her professional and research prospects.
Likewise, Abril Galarza, a student at the University of Beni in Bolivia, highlighted the welcome provided by UCundinamarca and expressed her interest in enriching her knowledge with a view to continuing postgraduate studies, emphasizing the value of cultural and academic exchange.
As an institution affiliated with the Latin American Academic Exchange Program (PILA), the University of Cundinamarca confirms its commitment to an internationalization with a human sense, consistent with the MEDIT, which trains global citizens capable of transforming their territories through shared knowledge.
