Through the “Dialoguing with the World” program, which facilitates the academic mobility of faculty, students, and researchers, this October a group of academics from the Autonomous University of Beni, in Bolivia, visited the Facatativá extension to explore new opportunities for collaboration and learning.
During her visit, María Rene Guillen Algarañaz, a professor at the University of Beni, Bolivia, emphasized the importance of this initiative to stay at the forefront of science and technology. “Our goal is to exchange new knowledge and content to harmonize our programs, especially in Business Administration,” Guillen stated. The collaboration seeks to enrich academic programs in both countries, bringing innovative experiences that can be implemented in Bolivia.
One of the most notable aspects of the University of Cundinamarca is its Transmodern Digital Educational Model (MEDIT), which emphasizes digitalization in education. Guillén Algarañaz praised this approach, noting that “digitalization must be accompanied by the entire learning process to achieve the objectives of each subject and the professional profile.” This model not only focuses on technology, but also incorporates human values and a focus on sustainable development.
The agreement between both universities opens the doors to effective academic mobility, allowing professors and students to participate in research practices and university socialization. “We have been reviewing minimum contents and exploring new technologies used in both institutions,” Guillén commented.
For his part, Eduardo Morales Barroso, another visiting professor, highlighted the quality of research at the University of Cundinamarca, especially in the use of technology in apiculture and its application in agricultural processes. “We would like to establish strategic partnerships to initiate similar projects at the Universidad Autónoma del Beni,” he expressed.
“The experience of the internationalization program has proven to be highly productive, with workshops and conferences that encourage the exchange of teaching methodologies. The academics take away valuable experiences that they will be able to implement at their home institution in Bolivia, thereby enriching their educational offering,” expressed the professor.
With “Dialoguing with the World,” the University of Cundinamarca seeks not only to internationalize its curriculum, but also to contribute to the formation of a more interconnected academic community that is aware of global challenges. This type of initiative highlights the university's commitment to educational quality and international cooperation, preparing students for a dynamic and collaborative future.
