In higher education and represents the opportunity to be valued by society in terms of the way the subject's teaching is delivered and is contributing to transforming that society.
Self-evaluation is an instrument to guarantee quality, it is understood as a reflective exercise that calls upon all members of the community to contribute from their work, knowledge, and experience so that the institution can account to society for its commitment to quality, a criterion that guides its work and through which the academic excellence of its members is processed.
According to Article 55 of Law 30 of 1992, self-assessment is a task and responsibility of higher education institutions and will be part of the accreditation process.
