The University of Cundinamarca, with the support of the National University of Colombia, is opening a call for applications to fill seven full-time career positions: three (3) for the professional Music program at the Zipaquirá Extension, three (3) for the professional Electronic Engineering program at the Fusagasugá campus, and one (1) for the professional Animal Science program at the Fusagasugá campus.

Son numerosos los avances alcanzados en la sociedad actual en lo que respecta al reconocimiento de la diversidad, la búsqueda de la equidad y el respeto por la diferencia, así como al empoderamiento de personas pertenecientes a grupos tradicionalmente excluidos. Hace pocos decenios, por ejemplo, era quizá impensable que un hombre negro llegara a ser presidente de los Estados Unidos, que las mujeres como colectivo de género alcanzaran un posicionamiento social tan significativo como el que ahora poseen, o que las personas con discapacidad fueran socialmente visibilizadas, como en efecto hoy está sucediendo, en gran parte gracias a las políticas de inclusión.

Sustainable development and education, a commitment for all

Sustainable development is a highly relevant concept in today's society because its implementation allows us to meet needs and approach human development in different areas, based on sustainability. Therefore, with the aim of delving deeper into this topic and understanding its meaning, scope, and relationship to education, as well as analyzing the implications of the current pandemic from this perspective, we interviewed Marco René Rodríguez Ortiz, an anthropologist and graduate of the National University of Colombia with a master's degree in Development Studies, who currently teaches at the University of Cundinamarca in the Social Sciences program.
