Diagnostic and leveling CAI Communication and critical reading I and II
DIAGNOSIS This is the evaluation that is carried out on undergraduate students in order to characterize and establish their academic level, once they enter the institution and the CAI.
If the student manages to obtain more than 80 % of the score in the diagnostic test, which corresponds to Level 4 of performance, according to the indications of the Icfes in its "Saber 11" tests, he arrives directly to the CAI Communication and critical reading I.

Reflects on a text to understand the author's worldview (customs, beliefs, judgments, ideological-political character, and ethical stances, among others). If the student does not obtain more than 80 % of the score on the diagnostic test, they must complete the LEVELING course. This is the autonomous and independent work carried out by the undergraduate student for 48 hours, a time that allows them to obtain an adequate academic level to continue with the learning path planned in the CAI.

Historical overview of the Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences

Timeline of the Bachelor of Social Sciences Program at the University of Cundinamarca:
- In 1977 The Faculty of Educational Sciences is created.
- In 1984 The Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences is established.
- In 2000 The name is changed to Bachelor's Degree in Basic Education with emphasis on Social Sciences.
- In 2003 obtains prior accreditation according to Resolution 1895.
- In 2017 High Quality Accreditation is awarded.
- In 2021 The accreditation is renewed with Resolution MEN 7350.
- In 2024 The renewal is requested and the redefinition of the program is approved.
- In 2025 The new, redefined route begins, and the old plan ends in the second half of the year.
