The University of Cundinamarca, in its commitment to the protection and custody of data subjects' personal data, seeks to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information as an essential asset for the provision of its training and learning services. This is reflected in the adoption of the Comprehensive Personal Data Management Program (PIGDP), which defines an organizational culture of respect for privacy, mediated by training strategies and campaigns related to the proper handling and use of personal data. Senior management at Ucundinamarca established the Institutional Personal Data Protection Day to be held and commemorated on the second Thursday of September each year. Therefore, an invitation was sent to all officials of the University of Cundinamarca, across its main campus, regional branches, and extension centers, to participate in the closing of the campaign, which will be led by: M.Sc. DIEGO OSORIO REINA, an expert, entrepreneur, professor, researcher, and speaker in the fields of Cybersecurity, Information Security, Ethical Hacking, Computer Forensics, and Business Continuity, with 24 years of experience in the field and multiple certifications from cybersecurity associations such as: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CEH, CHFI, CSFPC, ISO 27001 LI, ISO 27032 LM, ISO 22301 LI, ISO 31000 LM, among others.

Conference for Institutional Personal Data Protection Day – MY DATA IS ME
Title: Current State of Cybercrime and Defense Strategies: An Analysis with a Global and Local Perspective
Abstract:
Cybercrime is a growing threat affecting individuals, businesses, and governments globally. In this conference, we will explore the current state of cybercrime, highlighting the most concerning trends and the statistics that reflect the scope and severity of these attacks. Through recent cases published in the media and press, concrete examples of cyberattacks will be illustrated, including two significant incidents in Colombia carried out by the ransomware group RansomHouse.
During the 2023 term, for the Information Security and Privacy Awareness sessions of the Information Security Management System - ISMS, 19 sessions were held on August 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 22, 24, 25, 29, and 31, on September 12, 19, 26 (double session), and 28, and on October 3, 5, and 12 (double session) of 2023, 17 of them in person and 2 in virtual mode. Conference with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce – SIC
Through the management carried out by the ISMS office, for the purpose of closing the Personal Data Protection Campaign, a strategy was implemented to hold a conference by the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce – SIC, which takes place the second Thursday of the month of September. This discussion was held on September 14, 2023, via the Microsoft Teams platform.
An invitation was sent to all officials of the University of Cundinamarca, at its main campus, regional branches, and extension centers, where the following topics were addressed:

- Why is it important to protect personal data?
- Application of Law 1581 of 2012

In raising awareness among information holders about the importance of safeguarding personal, private, and sensitive data for the 2022 period, the following activities are arranged for the Udecina community to participate and build a stronger awareness regarding the protection of personal data:
“CAPTURE YOUR IMAGE, PROTECT YOUR DATA” Contest”
The contest titled “CAPTURE YOUR IMAGE, PROTECT YOUR DATA” was held, which was announced on October 17, 2022, through social media, the institutional portal, and mass email. This contest was aimed at the entire university community and consisted of capturing through a very creative photograph how they involve data protection in their daily work. To participate, they had to scan the QR code found in the opening graphic piece, which directed them to the terms and conditions specifying the rules, the theme, and the maximum number of participants per photograph. Once the photograph was taken, it had to be submitted via a form, adding a brief description of the theme reflected in the photograph. This contest was open until November 11, 2022.
Information Brochure “CYBERSECURITY TRENDS”
As part of the awareness-raising sessions, an informational brochure was designed presenting relevant topics on the importance of protecting relevant personal data in 2022, referencing the information mentioned in the “Cybersecurity Trends Report” of the Colombian Chamber of Informatics and Telecommunications—the result of statistics obtained on the types of vulnerabilities and crimes committed during the 2021 period and the first half of 2022. Subsequently, it was sent via mass email to faculty members, administrative staff, and students at the main campus, regional branches, and extension centers of U Cundinamarca on October 27, 2022.
Conference with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce – SIC
As an additional strategy, through management carried out by the ISMS office, with the objective of concluding this strategy implemented for the institutional day, an official from the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce (SIC) was in attendance for a discussion panel held on September 8, 2022, via the virtual platform Teams. Invitations were previously extended to officials from the Fusagasugá headquarters, the Girardot and Ubaté extensions, and the sectional offices in Soacha, Chía, Facatativá, and Zipaquirá, where topics concerning the following were addressed:

- Why is it important to protect personal data?
- Application of Law 1581 of 2012
Thus obtaining a participation of 155 out of 822 officials, for an attendance percentage of this conference of 18.9% compared to 32% from participation in the 2021 fiscal year.

The campaign for the 2021 term will begin on August 2 with an atmosphere on the main institutional social networks, carrying messages alluding to the protection of personal data. Cybersecurity topics will also be included in order to create awareness and sensitize the Udecina community.
Podcast “Social Engineering, Don't Be Fooled!”
Through the ISMS Microsoft Teams tool, starting on August 2, 2021, the first episode of the podcast entitled will be available to administrative staff and faculty. “Social Engineering: Don't let yourself be fooled!”, referring to a type of cybersecurity attack. Accompanied by experts who will discuss topics aimed at its description and how to avoid becoming a victim of this attack.
Forum – Introduction to Cyberattack
Through the ISMS Microsoft Teams tool, starting on August 2, 2021, the forum named will be available for administrative staff and teachers “Introduction to Cyberattack, in which you will be able to get information and give your opinion on related topics.
Activity – Learn and define your secure password
Through the ISMS Microsoft Teams tool, starting on August 2, 2021, the activity called will be available to administrative and teaching staff “Learn and define your secure password, In this space, you can learn in an interactive way how to generate secure passwords for your platforms.
Conference with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce – SIC
For the closing of the campaign “Your data is not a game, version 3 - Strengthened in Pandemic”, the Personal Data Processing Officer and the ISMS, September 9th, hour: 9:00 am, invites you to participate in the conference with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce – SIC, the main topic will be the protection of personal data.
During the 2020 term, the following activities were carried out for the implementation of the Information Security Management System - ISMS:
Information Security and Privacy Awareness
As part of the Comprehensive Personal Data Management Program, 25 awareness-raising sessions on information security and privacy were held between July 22 and September 15, 2020, with participation from various departments and divisions at the main campus, branch campuses, satellite campuses, and the Bogotá office, attended by 685 administrative staff and faculty members. To measure the impact of the awareness sessions, a form titled “Satisfaction Survey on Information Security Awareness Sessions” was created and sent on November 11, 2020, to Area Directors, Office Heads, deans, and directors of academic programs. Of the 70 surveys sent, 25 responses were received, and the general opinion was that 60% of respondents were satisfied and the remaining 40% were very satisfied with the information received during the awareness sessions.

As a new strategy amid the Covid-19 health crisis, a podcast is designed and published via institutional radio with 7 episodes on data processing, everything you need to know to prevent a security incident, how data must be processed, and what happens to data protection in times of coronavirus.
Conference with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce – SIC
Thanks to the management of the Systems and Technology Directorate, the campaign concluded on September 10, 2020, with the support of the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce – SIC via Zoom, in a conference highlighting the importance of personal data protection.
The Information Security Management System (ISMS) has been implemented since the 2017 period. During the 2017, 2018, and 2019 periods, awareness and training sessions were held for administrative staff and faculty in general, presenting the progress of the ISMS and the strategies adopted to develop and implement the standard, as well as the design and construction of the policies, manuals, procedures, instructions, guides, plans, and programs that make up the system. The planning and participation strategy for these sessions has always been endorsed by the SAC Committee and, as of 2020, by the Management Commission. In the current period, we are continuing with the sessions, which take place during the month of August.

Setting in Digital Media
This campaign lasted from 5 to 6 weeks, starting in September with custom wallpapers for computer equipment in both the computer labs and administrative offices featuring messages alluding to data protection, in order to raise awareness among the Udecina community.
Socialization to the Ucundinamarca community
During the workday, the different campuses, regional branches, and extension centers were visited so that students could approach the Data Protection Stand, where specific topics were discussed and questions were answered.
