Discussion with professors at the Girardot branch

The event was marked by broad teacher participation aimed at high-quality accreditation, through the first step, the construction of the Institutional Educational Project.

The session at the Girardot branch, the third within the cycle of discussion panels with the rector and top management, was marked by significant participation from professors of the various academic programs located there. Within the working tables and the debate space, needs and commitments acquired for the achievement of the objectives proposed by senior management were evident: a visible, democratic, scientific, and human university, with the capacities to face and solve the problems of Girardot, based on the generation of knowledge focused on the needs of the sector.

Teachers have emphasized the relevance that the University must have in solving environmental, economic, and social problems through research, social outreach, and the academic training of future professionals. They also highlight this type of space as a primary instrument of synergy, that is, the consolidation of an achievement through the collective participation of its members.

Within this exercise, across the different scenarios, significant contributions have been generated, such as faculty categorization, the increase in research and academic mobility, the growth of social outreach programs that impact the community, among others that are currently being consolidated into a master document of the Institutional Educational Project and the University's Strategic Plan.
