UCundinamarca is negotiating with the Government for free tuition for 2021

Due to the ongoing global health emergency, the Senior Management of the University of Cundinamarca and the directors of the institution's extensions and branches, which are present in Facatativá, Soacha, Fusagasugá, Girardot, Ubaté, Zipaquirá, Chocontá and Chía, are requesting financial resources from the national, departmental and municipal governments to provide free tuition for their students, who number more than 13,000 in undergraduate programs.

The National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE) conducted a survey in the country called Social Pulse (DANE – EPS) which allowed obtaining information on the impact of the situation generated by the covid-19 disease on Colombians; during the analysis, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) provided support.
