We have renewed our Social Responsibility certificate

Since 2020, the institution has maintained the Fenalco Solidario certification, which recognizes its commitment to sustainability, ethics, and territorial impact.

For the fifth consecutive year, the University of Cundinamarca renewed the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Seal granted by the Fenalco Solidario Colombia Corporation, an award that validates its commitment to sustainability, ethical management, and the strengthening of social impact in the region.

This certification, which the institution has held since 2020, evidences continuous progress in the consolidation of a social responsibility model that integrates environmental, social, and corporate governance dimensions. Renewing this seal means meeting standards of excellence, contributing to the fulfillment of the 2030 Agenda, and promoting responsible practices that strengthen the trust of the university community, families, allies, suppliers, and organizations.

Dr. Adriano Muñoz Barrera, rector, highlighted the significance of this achievement: “For the University, this certificate represents a milestone that strengthens our role as a public institution committed to transparency, ethics, and sustainable development. Renewing it year after year demonstrates that we are moving forward with discipline and a vision for the future. Our challenge is to continue on the path of continuous improvement with the Transmodern Digital Educational Model (MEDIT), being more responsible and aware of our impact on the region.”.

Joint work and visible results

The certification process has been made possible thanks to the coordinated efforts of different areas, especially the University Social Responsibility team of the Social Interaction Directorate (ISU), who lead the process and coordinate the different departments to showcase the results of institutional management.

Jenny Alezandra Páramo Aragón, director of ISU, noted: “This recognition is the result of a rigorous process involving the participation of different areas of the University. From University Social Interaction, we are committed to promoting practices that integrate the community, strengthen sustainability, and generate real impacts on people's lives. This seal confirms that we are doing things right and that we continue to move forward.”.

For her part, Angélica Guzmán Pérez, leader of University Social Responsibility, emphasized that social responsibility has evolved toward a comprehensive approach that unites regulatory compliance, environmental strengthening, and the promotion of ethical practices that contribute to the sustainable development of the region.

The University will continue to strengthen its social responsibility guidelines, implementing initiatives that contribute to community well-being, promote environmental conservation, and strengthen participatory and transparent institutional governance.

The renewal of this seal becomes a symbol of UCundinamarca's ongoing commitment to moving towards a more sustainable and responsible future for Cundinamarca and Colombia.
