Anti-bribery management FAQs

Find answers to the most common concerns about anti-bribery management, its mechanisms, procedures, and responsibilities within the institution.

It consists of expressly prohibiting any practice related to offering, promising, giving, accepting, or requesting personally, or through an intermediary, an undue advantage, financial or otherwise, in favor or for the benefit of oneself or a third party, as an incentive for a public servant of Ucundinamarca to perform or fail to perform an activity, contrary to the legal system.

Bribery prevention at Ucundinamarca is embedded in all institutional processes managed by the Institution and involves all permanent staff, collaborators through service provision, business partners, suppliers, contractors, the general academic community, and extends to all third parties involved or who have any kind of contractual or legal relationship with the University regarding the institutional mission.

Yes, the Anti-Bribery Management System prohibits the offer, provision, or acceptance of hospitality, attention, donations, and similar benefits that are or may be considered bribery.

Bribery is committed by ACCEPTING, REQUESTING, PROMISING, OFFERING, or DELIVERING, directly or indirectly, by a UCundinamarca employee or an external party, any benefit (financial or non-financial) as an incentive or reward for a person to fulfill or fail to fulfill their duties or obligations.

It is the process to evaluate in greater detail the nature and extent of the bribery risk and to help the Entity make decisions regarding projects, activities, business partners, and specific positions.

Any person can report and alert the Institution about cases or improper actions they consider suspicious of being a bribe.

Currently, there are three channels for people to make their complaints official:

-On the website in the I REPORT space via the link https://www.ucundinamarca.edu.co/index.php/yo-denuncio-actos-de-soborno

-Email: [email protected] It is important to highlight that the University of Cundinamarca ensures the protection of the identity of the good-faith whistleblower to prevent retaliation against them.

-In person at the physical drop boxes, free of cameras, located on the University premises or in the office of the Anti-Bribery Compliance Officer.

You must take the hospitalities, benefits, or donations to the Institutional Planning Directorate and deliver what was received, so that the Compliance Officer can return it to the sender and/or redistribute it within the Institution.
