Day 15 – July 15

On the final day of IDDS, the pressure is palpable to deliver the prototype on time for the final presentation and, above all, to meet the community's expectations. Participants have taken advantage of yoga sessions to create active breaks that foster creativity and allow them to continue their efforts to finalize the prototypes, although some teams have already finished and are preparing for the summit's conclusion.

Day 14 – July 14

On the penultimate day of the summit, participants were in the prototype construction stage, a preliminary step before full-scale mass production. Simultaneously, they were analyzing whether the prototype met expectations and was viable for use. After long days of work, cultural and recreational activities such as music and dance were also created.

Day 13 – July 13

Together with the physical education degree program of UCundinamarca, on the 13th day of IDDS, recreation spaces and Zumba classes began in the Cercun auditorium, followed by a breakfast with the organizers giving an energy boost to continue with the development of the summit, culminating the day with a special musical event by the Music program of the University.

Day 12 – July 12

With 4 days left until the end of the summit, the teams are already defining their final prototype. The different experiences lived by the teams were shared, in addition to the performance of recreational activities for integration and the generation of ideas.

Day 11 – July 11

After a long day in the workshop where they made progress on the model, the different working groups traveled to various municipalities in the region where they interacted with the communities, obtaining further feedback to help them develop the prototype. The El Dorado Group traveled to the village of Guavio Alto in Fusagasugá to test their model. The interaction with the community allowed them to advance in their work, which aims for better water treatment management. Meanwhile, on Isla del Sol in the municipality of Ricaurte, the Sand Miners Group, working alongside local laborers, did the same to improve the model and thus help mitigate the environmental damage the area is suffering. In the municipality of Pasca, members of Asopromes interacted with residents of the Altos del Molino village to find improvements to their weeder. During the day, the group traveled to different locations within the village, gathering numerous opinions on the work being done. At the end of the day, each of the 10 groups had generated new ideas to improve their work. The arduous workdays have not diminished the participants' enthusiasm; on the contrary, the daily challenge of achieving the best possible result motivates them to give their best, both individually and collectively.

Day 10 – July 10

After framing the different problems addressed in order to define the solution to be applied in each of the various communities, the working groups dedicated a large part of the day to planning the applicability of their proposal to each economic activity. Thus, during the day, the 10 teams participating in IDDS 2017 planned the next steps.

Day 8 – July 8

Halfway through IDDS 2017, participants are in groups modeling, analyzing, and choosing materials to develop a prototype that meets the objective.

Day 7 – July 7

The working teams, together with community representatives, finalized the problem and defined it concretely in order to begin the Idea Generation stage. This process allowed them to transform ideas into tangible things and actions using recycled materials to visualize possible solutions and materialize them in the first prototypes, explained Alex Freese, co-director of C-Innova.
