Myths and realities
1

“Drugs are only for weak people”

Anyone can be affected by consumption, regardless of their strength or intelligence.

People who believe in certain myths may deny the existence of a problem or avoid seeking professional help due to shame or fear of stigma.

2

“Trying it once won't hurt.”

The first time can lead to addiction.

By underestimating the dangers of consumption, people may make risky decisions, such as driving under the influence of drugs or mixing substances.

3

“Drugs are a way to escape from problems”

Drugs only mask the problems, they don't solve them. When you stop using, the problems reappear, often worse.

By presenting drugs as harmless or even beneficial, myths can lead young people and adults to experiment with substances they are unfamiliar with.
