Mission: Consolidate the training of graduates in Physical Education, Recreation, and Sports, with solid pedagogical, disciplinary, humanistic, investigative, and innovation knowledge, who become agents of translocal transformation and are consistent with the trends in education and the management of knowledge and learning for the 21st century.

 

Vision: The program will be recognized for its high quality at the local, regional, national, and international levels, for its commitment to training Graduates in Physical Education, Recreation, and Sports, who are managers of knowledge and learning from a disciplinary standpoint, oriented toward human development, social coexistence, and the improvement of the quality of life.

The graduate of the Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Recreation, and Sports from the University of Cundinamarca will be an education professional who achieves, transcends, and transforms realities in different areas of influence, interdiscliplinarily articulating their specific knowledge to the particularities of the context to contribute to problem-solving and the resignification of disciplinary practices in various fields. Likewise, due to their solid conceptual, pedagogical, humanistic, didactic, investigative, motor, and experiential knowledge, they are able to integrate pedagogy and didactics into the discipline, generating innovative learning environments suited to the training of students in different contexts, and designing and executing research/intervention plans and projects within the scope of their discipline in multiple sociocultural spaces and with diverse population groups.

The first version of the Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education program is born. By means of Agreement No. 021 of March 1980, the ITUC is authorized to issue degrees of Bachelor of Education with a Specialty in Physical Education. Through Resolution No. 2257 of August 17, 2000, Registration is granted to the Bachelor's Degree program in Basic Education with an emphasis in Physical Education, Recreation, and Sports for 7 years. Finally, thanks to Resolution No. 025400 of December 21, 2023, the MEN once again grants the Qualified Registry with a new and re-signified version of the program called Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Recreation and Sports for a period of 7 years. This means that for 48 years Physical Education has been present in the Sumapaz region for the educational and productive sector.
