Historical Overview of the Program

First major milestone Renewal milestone Opening milestone Milestone
1970 1988 1989 1990
The Zootechnics Program began its activities at the Fusagasugá Headquarters on August 3, 1970, starting as Animal Production Technology at what was then called the University Technical Institute of Cundinamarca (ITUC), with its Main Headquarters in Fusagasugá, operating until 1988 under ICFES Agreement No. 3441-A. By this time, it received its first renewal as a Technology in Livestock Production, until December 31, 1988. In 1989, the Higher Council, through Agreement No. 027, authorized the opening of the Livestock Technology program in Ubaté and, through Agreement No. 029, conducted feasibility studies with knowledge and learning managers for the second cycles of the Livestock Technology Program at the Fusagasugá Headquarters. In 1990, by means of Agreement No. 3396, the program received a renewal until December 31, 1990.
