About the program

The Academic Program aims to generate a new professional profile for a very important sector of the global economy, namely agriculture, which is the main source of food and income for developing countries. Therefore, optimally capitalizing on projects formulated by professionals in the sector will allow for the establishment of strategies to ensure food security and sustainability, strengthening the economic development of these countries.

 

In this sense, the academic challenges will be addressed by the Academic Program from a sustainable approach, starting with the formulation of a quality postgraduate Academic Program where students will have the opportunity to learn and share experiences with highly qualified professors, using virtual resources and technological mediation, which will guarantee leading professionals in food production and sustainability, with clear perspectives on the business of the agricultural sector at the national and international levels.

Graduates of the Specialization in Sustainable Agribusiness at UCundinamarca will be able to:

+ Understand the administrative processes generated within organizations related to the agricultural sector, with investigative capacity, knowledge of the global scenario of agribusiness with an entrepreneurial spirit, which allows him to take advantage of the opportunities of the productive sector.

+ Manage agribusiness and entrepreneurship opportunities for the strategic formulation of innovative projects in various sectors of the economy.

+ Direct and control business management oriented towards continuous improvement with an ethical sense, social and environmental responsibility.

Occupational profile

The purpose of the Academic Program Specialization in Sustainable Agribusiness is to train specialists who can work as:

 

+ Directors or managers of organizations in the agricultural sector and related sectors in any of the links of the production chain (inputs, production, transformation or marketing).

 

+ Advisors and/or analysts in the formulation of entrepreneurship projects for innovation in the agricultural sector who have the ability to understand market behavior.

 

+ Consultants and/or advisors of organizations related to agribusiness who generate agri-food marketing strategies according to the needs and potential of each region.

 

+ Managers of agricultural and related companies with the ability to optimize the technical and financial components of their production processes.
