The program is focused on training professionals with commitment and social responsibility, knowledge in methodologies and processes in the areas of Infrastructure and Network Security through the construction of solutions and the improvement of processes that use the TCP/IP protocol suite, wired and wireless networks, converged communications in a secure environment from a translocal and transmodern perspective.

The graduate of the Specialization in Infrastructure and Network Security at the University of Cundinamarca will be a person with training for life, democratic values, civility and freedom, who will be a transformative agent who can impact their environment, society and nature.

It is characterized by its extensive knowledge in the design and use of network devices that allow increasing their performance and functionality through solutions that increase the utility and reliability of the network and communications infrastructure to apply control in a centralized or distributed manner and network segmentation in accordance with the appropriate security policies to reduce risks and maintain the integrity, availability, privacy, control and authenticity of the information handled by computer.

Integrate methodologies and processes in the areas of Infrastructure and Network Security through the construction of solutions and the improvement of processes that use the TCP/IP protocol suite, wired and wireless networks, and converged communications.

Occupational profile

The Infrastructure and Security Networks specialist will be able to work as:

 

+ Engineers in charge of managing service provider networks, operators or all those that require infrastructure and security.

 

+ Professional responsible for researching, advising, designing, planning, directing and controlling the construction, operation, maintenance and repair of telecommunications systems and equipment.

 

+ Project managers, consultants in consulting firms and all those who require infrastructure and security in public and private sector networks.

 

+ Engineers in charge of the analysis of requirements and functional configuration required for the implementation and quality control of technology solutions in infrastructure and security.

 

+ Systems engineers or related professionals whose role is to manage, control and ensure the functioning and operation of Information and Communications Technology services such as: infrastructure, applications, networks, among others.

Entry profile

Applicants to the Specialization Program in Infrastructure and Network Security must have a professional degree in the area of systems engineering, software or related fields, and be interested in having knowledge in programming and a professional interest in developing solutions based on emerging technologies.

Mission:  To train transhuman professionals committed to the construction, management and transfer of knowledge in the areas of network infrastructure and security to contribute to the development of relevant solutions that dynamically drive ICT in the various translocal application scenarios.
