Master with a transmodern vision of agricultural production, who plans, designs and redesigns plant production systems and provides real-time solutions to the different problems that affect their efficiency and competitive effectiveness, multidimensional sustainability and production based on the use of technological tools within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Graduates of the Master's Program in Agricultural Sciences with an Emphasis on Horticulture will be able to serve as leaders in the formulation and/or direction of production, marketing, transformation, entrepreneurship, research or technological development systems for fruit and vegetable production systems, with an emphasis on the use of competitive criteria, translocal sustainability and contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals Agenda.

Professional in agricultural sciences and related fields; preferably with experience working in vegetable and/or fruit production systems.

Mission and Vision

Mission: To train Masters in Agricultural Sciences with an emphasis on Horticulture, aware of the need to improve agricultural production both nationally and internationally, addressing the challenges of food supply in a changing and highly competitive context, under the precepts of sustainable development, adaptation to climate change and multidimensional efficiency in agricultural production systems; attending to a transmodern conception based on values and ethical principles; with the capacity to generate, design and redesign agricultural production systems in line with the needs imposed by the current world.

 

Vision: To be leaders in the training of Masters in Agricultural Sciences, in the national context with international projection, attending to the principles of translocality and the realities that are put forward from the use of ICT, thus originating a productive reconversion based on the development and technological transformation of horticultural production, from a transmodern conception of the sustainable use of natural resources and competitive agricultural production.
