Volunteer Program

Volunteering
UCundinamarca

Volunteers are individuals who, of their own free will and in a responsible manner, without receiving any form of employment-based compensation, contribute their time, labor, and talents to the common good—either individually or collectively—within public or private organizations or outside of them (Special Administrative Unit for Solidarity Organizations).

Volunteer Objectives

  • To provide guidance, technical assistance, or support to supplement the capabilities of individuals, organizations, and/or communities that need it.
  • Develop programs and projects in line with the Translocal action areas defined by the institution, with a particular focus on the educational and social-community spheres.
  • Foster through a non-profit service a professional, supportive, and participatory civic awareness to articulate and strengthen the social fabric and community networks, in line with the dimensions and components declared by the Transmodern Digital Educational Model and the University Social Interaction Policy of the University of Cundinamarca.
  • To foster processes of social participation by volunteer organizations in order to transform the realities of the local context.
  • To generate sustainable social capital that benefits the community.
