The University of Cundinamarca continues to innovate and strengthen its university community through the Transmodern Digital Educational Model (MEDIT) and a wide range of activities that go beyond the traditional classroom.

Each year, within the framework of the university week, Expo UCundinamarca offers a showcase of opportunities that promotes entrepreneurship, culture, sports, and art among students, faculty, and entrepreneurs.

The Dean of the Faculty of Administrative, Economic, and Accounting Sciences, Dr. Miguel Alejandro Flechas Montaño, presented an overview of the recent event, highlighting that “this experience, which is held annually, seeks to strengthen the entrepreneurial culture in the different regional units.” On this occasion, a varied program was developed that included lectures, workshops, as well as sports and cultural activities.

Flechas Montaño emphasized that one of the highlights of this edition was the 7th International Congress on Organizational Management, held in Chía and Fusagasugá, which featured broad participation from the university community and the external sector. In addition, the First Translocal Entrepreneurship Encounter was held, addressing fundamental topics such as “Personal Finance for Entrepreneurs,” along with the launch of the Universidad de Cundinamarca Marketplace, a space dedicated to allowing entrepreneurs to showcase and sell their products.

Javier Fernando Pinzón Castañeda, Knowledge and Learning Manager at the Chía Extension, and leader of the Digital Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Business Management, highlighted the impact of these initiatives: “At Expo UCundinamarca, we highlight the entrepreneurship conferences and workshops featuring international experts who shared their experience on how to strengthen and live entrepreneurship intensely.” The Marketplace, he added, is a key tool for entrepreneurs in the university community to showcase their products and generate business.

At the Fusagasugá campus, the 11th edition of the Business Fair, organized by the Faculty of Administrative, Economic, and Accounting Sciences, provided a platform for students to energize their business models. Nelson Enrique Fonseca Carreño, Knowledge and Learning Manager for the Business Administration program, highlighted that the fair seeks to promote viable, scalable, and profitable ideas.

On his part, Daniel Rodríguez Buitrago, an international speaker and influencer, spoke about the advantages of the Marketplace: “Today, having a free platform to promote your products is an incredible advantage. The greatest cost for an entrepreneur is usually marketing, and here, the University offers a golden opportunity to boost your products and services, helping entrepreneurs grow as a community.”.

Monica Rodriguez, a graduate and entrepreneur, expressed her gratitude to the university for allowing her to share her success story: “It is motivating to see how the University promotes innovative projects. These activities inspire students to seek new entrepreneurial opportunities.”.

Expo UCundinamarca continues to be a key setting for growth and innovation, creating a space where the dreams and projects of the university community can materialize and grow.
