PRESENTATION CATEGORIES
Products of new knowledge generation
- Book resulting from research: An original and unpublished publication, the content of which is the result of a research process; which—prior to publication—has been evaluated by two or more academic peers; which has been selected for its scientific merits as a work that makes significant contributions to knowledge in its field and reflects a fully developed and completed research project. Furthermore, this publication has undergone editorial procedures that guarantee its bibliographic standardization and availability.
- Book of philological translation and source editing: Research work that involves the translation, editing, and critical annotation of sources (classical languages, indigenous languages). The text may present the diplomatic version of a manuscript, a collection of manuscripts, or works of textual criticism. The translations must be derived from research processes on the tradition of previous versions or translations of the text or represent a shift in the paradigm used to interpret the source text. (Minciencias, 2021, p. 64)
