IDERF and U. Adding to the sport of Fusagasugá

The municipal administration, led by Mayor Jairo Hortúa Villalba, along with the Fusagasugá Sports and Recreation Institute (IDERF) and the Dean's Office of Sports Sciences at the University of Cundinamarca (UCundinamarca), established the first sectoral technical working group on sports, recreation, and physical activity. This group was formed to formulate and develop the sports sector component of the municipal development plan. This collaborative and constructive forum between academia and municipal sports took place at the Sports Academic Center (CAD) with the participation of approximately 40 faculty members. The meeting led to the development of joint projects in sports infrastructure, sports and recreation, and sports culture. The meeting yielded valuable contributions for the sector, such as enhancing Fusagasugá's sporting standing at the departmental and national levels. It also established specific actions within a programmatic agenda to coordinate projects between the Faculty of Sports Sciences and Physical Education and the municipal Health and Education Secretariats.
