In 1991, grandparents Carlos Pinto and Alicia Villamizar, along with their daughters Sara, Claudia, and Martha, were harvesting high-quality parchment coffee using good agricultural practices at their farm, El Mirador, in the municipality of Arbelaez. In 2013, the family began the process of roasting their coffee, initially through empirical methods. Research and training to improve their roasting process led them to acquire their first machinery in 2015, as well as adapt their facilities for a roasted and ground coffee production plant. In 2017, they received barista training to identify coffee notes and enhance their cup of coffee. In 2019, they obtained their INVIMA health registration and registered their own brand. They have always been pioneers in innovation in the region, producing micro-lots with different fermentation processes to provide a unique experience for their consumers.
