Accountability

Check here for frequently asked questions about the account redemption process and management.

Accountability is an ongoing process through which the University of Cundinamarca reports, explains, and shares the results of its management, the use of public resources, and the impact generated in the region. This exercise promotes transparency, participation, and social control, and is aligned with the Integrated Planning and Management Model (MIPG) through the following mechanisms:

The Public Accountability Hearing “UCundinamarca Open, Clear, and Territorial” is a centralized space that allows for sharing institutional progress, results, challenges, and projections, in coordination with the strategic direction and the Institutional Development Plan.

For their part, the Translocal Management Forums are decentralized spaces where the results of management in each regional unit are shared. These settings make it possible to contextualize the information in each territory.

Open, because it promotes broad and timely access to institutional information, facilitating citizen participation and the exercise of social oversight.

Clara, because it communicates management in an understandable language, with verifiable data, performance indicators, and objective evidence, moving beyond descriptive approaches.

Territorial, because it recognizes the translocal nature of the University and develops decentralized mechanisms such as the Public Hearing and Translocal Management Forums, guaranteeing an institutional presence in each regional unit.

Annual evaluation

In alignment with the monitoring and evaluation stage, the University conducts an annual evaluation of the Accountability exercise in order to identify opportunities for improvement and strengthen the quality of the process.

The results of this evaluation are published on the microsite and serve as input for the design of the exercise for the following term, guaranteeing an evolutionary, participatory process aligned with best practices in university governance.
